How does HT work?

HT helps restore balance in a woman’s body after her ovaries have stopped producing estrogen and progestin. A HT program may involve the use of estrogen alone (estrogen therapy, or ET) if a woman has had a hysterectomy, or estrogen and progestin in combination (EPT) if the women has an intact uterus.
